论坛简介：

从2012年《电影作者》编委会成立至今一年间，已推出三期正刊，一期特刊，并即将推出第四期。初衷是建立一个作者自己发声与交流的平台，展现不同作者对电影的思考及创作理念，让很多议题、理念成为显性存在，亦可为中国独立电影提供丰富、扎实的文献。

尤其2012年下半年至今，国内影展生存环境迅速恶化，《电影作者》的努力具有了另一层意义：在这样的环境下，独立电影作者可以做些什么，来主动改善恶劣的电影生存-传播环境？必须开辟新的可能、新的交流空间、传播方式，来对抗环境的挤压。期待与会各位自自由展开讨论。

Introduction：

Since 2012， the editorial board of Film Auteur has established for a year. It issued 3 journals and 1 supplement， and will issue the 4th. The intention is to build a platform where the auteur can voice and communicate their opinions， and show their working ideology and thoughts towards films， so that more subjects and concepts are available. Meanwhile， more diversified and solid documentations will be provided to Chinese Independent Film.

The environment of domestic film festivals deteriorate rapidly， particularly from the second half of 2012 till now， which gives the effort of Film Auteur another sense： what can independent film makers do to proactively change the adverse living and transmission condition in such context？ A new means of dissemination， communication and possibility need to be created to cope with pressures. Hope every participant join the discussion freely.

论坛简介：

近十多年来亚洲尤其东南亚地区独立电影和民间影像群体的涌现令世界瞩目。本论坛探讨在社会变革和数码科技社交传媒普及的大背景下，印度尼西亚、泰国、印度等地的非主流影像实践及其美学和政治涵义，希望通过跨亚洲或亚洲间的比较视角来打破习以为常的东西比较模式预设框架，同时也为理解和扶植华语地区的民间影像生态提供参照维度。

Introduction：

The emergence of Asian， especially South-east Asian， independent and nongovernmental film has made prominent achievements in more than a decade. The forum intends to discuss the alternative of video practice and its meaning of aesthetics and politics in Indonesia， Thailand and India， etc. in the context of social change and popularization of digital technology and social media. We expect to break away from the conventional default framework of east-west comparison through comparative perspective of outside and inside Asia， and also provide references for understanding and fostering the ecology of independent film in Chinese-speaking region.

Introduction：

In August， 2013， the first publication plan of Li Xianting‘s Film Fund is officially issued， which takes Cai Mingliang from Tai Wan， Yang Fudong from mainland China and Indian Raqs media group as case studies， and “Film and contemporary art” as its theme. The plan attempts to deal with the status quo of practice and frontier theory of contemporary cinema/ filmology， which is crossing boundaries increasingly.

Instruction：

The Li Xianting‘s Film Fund has been officially carrying out and inviting a series of research， writing and publishing projects with a theme of “Film & Contemporary Art” since 2012. By 2013， the first series is published， including three case study results from Taiwan， mainland China and India， namely，“ “Tsai Ming-liang： From Cinema to Contemporary/Art” “Yang Fudong： Like Water Leaving Traces” “Raqs Media Collective：Kinetic Contemplations”

The forum will focus on the feasibility of interdisciplinary practice and theoretical research of contemporary film. From the perspective of “Asia”， they will distinguish “the west” in film and art history and interpret the evolution of marginal roles and active dynamics in global discourse.
