从六月到十二月，花期赏花，

花期过了，赏莲子青青。

那时我见游水的人朝池中心去，大喊有蛇：

游水的人敏捷，肌肤光亮，识方向。

原本被压倒的茎，依次弹起，

水珠腾空。腾空，

又被叶片中央射出的叶脉吸回中央：

三三两两相撞，

徘徊。

静止。

从六月到十二月，池中心一圈一圈缩小：

莲子肉，藕实，水芝丹，

保持丰盈的独立；保持干枯的独立。

月已高。水已牢固。

蛇冬眠。

今夜我要很深很深地，

误入藕花深处。

June to December I went flower-viewing in blooming season,

and when the season ended I viewed lotus seeds for their greenness.

Just then I saw a swimmer heading toward the center of the pond, shouting about a snake:

then were pulled back down by the veins that shoot out from leaves:

wavering.

June to December, the center of the pond shrank ring by ring:

the lotus seeds and roots and water lilies,

The snakes are hibernating.
